Fingerprinting
For the protection of pupils in educational settings from abuse and maltreatment,
NYS law requires the fingerprinting of prospective employees of school districts,
charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services. This includes sports officials.
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has information on their web site to explain the process. See:
Fingerprinting Process from Start to Finish
If you have additional questions contact the Association President.
